Marina Shafir will be making her professional wrestling debut
In May, WWE announced Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke were both signed and reporting to the WWE Performance Center. Both athletes have professional mixed-martial-arts training and are friends with WWE wrestler Ronda Rousey and NXT Women's Champion Shayna Baszler.
On Twitter, Shafir shared that she will be wrestling at a NXT live event in Largo, Florida.
The Largo event will be on July 26th according to the WWE website.
Shafir is mother to the son of NXT wrestler and Undisputed Era member Roderick Strong. She fought in three professional MMA bouts and won one of those. She is also a champion Judoka.
Jessamyn Duke will be making her NXT debut as well at that same live event in Largo.
Fightful Wrestling will be covering any additions to the NXT roster including Duke and Shafir as they move on from the WWE Performance Center.
