Motor City Machine Guns had a successful debut in WWE.
Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin) scored the win in their WWE debut on the October 18th episode of WWE SmackDown, defeating A-Town Down Under (Austin Theory & Grayson Waller) and Los Garzas (Berto & Angel) in a triple threat tag team bout.
The finish saw Shelley hit a splash while Sabin executed a neckbreaker on Berto.

Earlier in the night, DIY qualified by defeating Pretty Deadly (Kit Wilson & Elton Prince) and Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins).
The finish saw Ford cover Prince following a Doomsday Blockbuster and Ciampa cover Wilson following Meet in the Middle. Though both men had a pinfall for a count of three, DIY was awarded the victory as Wilson was deemed the legal man.

Both matches were part of a tournament to crown new number one contenders for the WWE Tag Team Titles.
DIY and MCMG will face on the October 25th episode of WWE SmackDown. The winning team will be the number one contenders to the WWE Tag Team Championships, which are currently held by Tama Tonga & Tonga Loa.
