Tyler Bate and Trent Seven are NXT Tag Team Champions.
During the broadcast of the United Kingdom tournament event, Tyler Bate and Trent Seven (collectively known as Moustache Mountain) beat Roderick Strong and Kyle O'Reilly for the NXT Tag Team Championships.
The following is an excerpt of the live coverage by Fightful's own David Tees.
Seven and Strong have a striking exchange until they both fall out of the ring, O’Reilly then catches Bate with a multiple strike combination followed by a brain buster for a near fall. Strong tags in and they hit Bate with their finisher for another near fall, O’Reilly tags in and Strong accidentally nails him with a clothesline.
Bate takes out Strong with a suicide dive, Seven tags in and he nails Strong with a Seven Stars Lariat before working with Bate to land their finisher for the three count.
Winners: Moustache Mountain (Trent Seven & Tyler Bate), your new WWE NXT Tag Team Champions
Bate has now held two Championships in his time with WWE and NXT as he was the inaugural WWE United Kingdom Champion. After winning the tag team titles, he and Seven spoke to reporters to say their win showcased the cross over there can be with NXT and the new United Kingdom brand.
The event was taped last week and Fightful Wrestling reported on the change after WWE posted video and photos on social media.
