The mystery of who attacked Roman Reigns has been revealed if Murphy is to be believed.
Right before SmackDown Live went off the air, Reigns stormed the WWE male locker room and ordered everyone to leave except for Murphy, whom Reigns then confronted. After Murphy feigned ignorance when asked who attacked Reigns in the past week, Reigns thrashed Murphy across the locker room. This continued until Murphy revealed that it was Rowan who attacked Reigns on the August 5 episode of RAW when Reigns' car was struck by another vehicle.

As Reigns learned and processed what Murphy alleged, Rowan and Daniel Bryan looked on to the big screen as they had just finished a match against Big E and Xavier Woods. That match ended in a disqualification when Rowan hit both Big E and Woods with the steel steps. Regarding the aftermath of the match, neither man said anything regarding the attack.
The news ended On the July 30 episode of SmackDown, Reigns had a metal structure fall down on him, which sent WWE to "investigate" the matter. Throughout the following days, WWE concluded that the first attack was due to an error from a forklift driver that turned out to be a temp and not a WWE employee.
UPDATE: Upon further investigation, the forklift operator last Tuesday on #SDLive was a temp and not a WWE employee. https://t.co/f0YhJTpEtJ
