Mustafa Ali says he saw the hard work that buddy Murphy put into his run on 205 Live and everything that went into Murphy cutting weight for the Cruiserweight division.
One of the critically acclaimed feuds during the five years existence of 205 Live was Mustafa Ali vs. Buddy Murphy. Prior to Buddy Murphy moving over to SmackDown and having highly-touted matches against Roman Reigns and moving over to Monday Night Raw to work with Seth Rollins, Murphy honed his skills as a singles competitor on WWE 205 Live.
It has occasionally been questioned whether or not buddy Murphy was legitimately at the Cruiserweight level. Even Chris Jericho once remarked on a podcast that Buddy Murphy was as big as he is and questioned the legitimacy of his Cruiserweight status.
Replying to a fan on Twitter who was remarking that Buddy Murphy being legitimately considered 205 pounds was laughable, Ali noted that he watched his rival diet, train, and cut weight to be on the program and insisted that it was all legitimate.
I get it, but homie was legit under 205. I saw him diet and train firsthand on the road. He had to weigh in. I understand the doubt, but you can’t knock the hustle on this one. @WWE_Murphy https://t.co/jt4OotuQzE
