Mustafa Ali Thinks Daniel Bryan Was Involved With Getting Him Called Up To SmackDown Live

Ali believes Daniel Bryan had a bigger role than Bryan is letting off.

It was on the December 11th episode of SmackDown Live that "The Heart" of 205 Live Mustafa Ali made his SmackDown debut and had a segment and a match with the WWE Champion Daniel Bryan. At house shows and on WWE TV, Bryan has ambushed Ali from behind and these two have history together so-to-speak dating back to when Daniel Bryan called the WWE Cruiserweight Classic which Ali was a part of. Ali believes that Daniel Bryan played a role in him getting moved to the main roster and added that Bryan knows a lot more than what he's letting off.

“There is so… and I’ll never put words in anyone’s mouth but there is so many inclinations that I’m having that he’s got more to say about it than he’s letting on." Ali said on Talk Is Jericho. "I mean just for a guy to get plucked out of 205 and get put with him in a program and then attacked [by Daniel] backstage after my third week on SmackDown. It’s all him, you know what I mean? And man, what a guy to learn from. I can’t say enough good things about him, but yeah, he’ll never come out and say it. I have a strong feeling he’s more involved than he’s letting on.”

Mustafa Ali had an opportunity to get another crack at Daniel Bryan on the New Year's Day episode of SmackDown Live when Ali competed in a Fatal 5-Way match to determine Daniel Bryan's Royal Rumble opponent but that match was ultimately won by AJ Styles.
