Naomichi Marufuji: I Want To Invite More WWE Wrestlers To Compete In NOAH

Naomichi Marufuji wants to see more WWE stars come to NOAH.

NOAH Vice President Naomichi Marufuji will face WWE star AJ Styles at NOAH Destination 2024 on July 13. WWE and NOAH previously collaborated in 2023, as Shinsuke Nakamura faced the Great Muta at NOAH’s New Year show.

"He (Styles) is a great fighter in every way and one of the best in the world. I want the fans to really enjoy my exchanges during the match with him, and I think we can achieve that," Marufuji said.

Later in the interview, Marufuji was asked to name whether there were other wrestlers in WWE or in other international companies that he wanted to face, either in a NOAH ring or in his opponent's company's ring.

"I am interested in all WWE wrestlers. I want to invite several wrestlers to compete in the NOAH ring. To compete in the WWE ring, I think I need more training before that, so I can't say I want to do it right now," Marufuji said.

In May, Yasuaki Okamoto was been appointed the new President of CyberFight Inc. In his introductory press conference, he said that the goal was to “Strengthen relationship with WWE."

In addition to NOAH, WWE has also been working with TNA and GCW (for Bloodsport events) recently.
