Natalya has high praise for Charlotte Flair.
While Charlotte may have her online detractors, longtime veteran Natalya believes Charlotte does her part in giving back to the women's division and being a locker room leader.
“Listen, in the women’s division, it’s a dog eat dog world, or should I say cat eat cat,” Natalya told Rick Ucchino of Sportskeeda. “It’s tough. All of us are vying for an opportunity and everybody wants to be front and center. This industry really is about paying it forward, and what I was able to help Charlotte do in NXT, it’s cool to see her give back and pay it forward. She’s really incredible at giving back, so it’s nice to be able to watch somebody else. Charlotte’s in the role of a bad girl right now, a villain on TV, so every now and then the good guys win, and so it’s cool to see Nikki get that opportunity and Charlotte pay it forward."
Charlotte has long called herself The Queen and Natalya is the Queen of Harts.
According to Wrestling INC and Andrew Zarian of Mat Men Pro Wrestling, WWE is reportedly planning to do a Queen of the Ring tournament in October, but nothing has been confirmed.
When asked about the potential of a Queen of the Ring tournament, Natalya said, "Coming from The Queen of Harts, the original Queen of Harts, my grandmother Helen was the first Queen of Harts in the Hart family, but of course I’m carrying the torch. But that would be really cool. Any time the women get an opportunity in WWE to do something awesome, whether it’s Evolution, whether it’s the first-ever women’s Royal Rumble, the first-ever women’s TLC match, ladder match or tables match, it is so cool to see new opportunities for women.”
WWE has not confirmed a Queen of the Ring tournament.
Natalya had an injury scare on WWE Raw, which she took to social media to comment on. No injury has been confirmed.
