New AAA Cruiserweight Champion Crowned At 12/7 AAA Tapings

Buyazze!

Matt Riddle held the AAA Cruiserweight title for over 113 days after originally defeating Laredo Kid and the then-champion Komander in a Triple Threat at AAA's magnum event, TripleMania 32 CDMX. 112 days later, Laredo Kid finally got his rematch after not being pinned in that match.

AAA held tapings on 12/7 from the Juan de La Barrera Olympic Gymnasium in Mexico City, Distrito Federal, Mexico as part of the promotion's last set of TV Tapings. As part of the events, Laredo Kid defeated Matt Riddle on the 12/7 tapings for Lucha Libre AAA as part of their "Origenes" Tour, managing to regain the AAA Cruiserweight Title.

Riddle had previously defeated El Fiscal in his first title defense, but could not retain the belt against The Eagle of the Rio Bravo. This is a boost from Laredo Kid, who recently lost a match for the TNA X-Division Title against Moose on TNA Turning Point. As for Matt Riddle, he is set to challenge for the MLW World Heavyweight Title against current champion Satoshi Kojima on the event "Kings Of Colosseum" on 1/11/2025.
