- Tonight, Kofi Kingston and Big E of The New Day lost to Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura, but they proved to be winners in life as they took a knee and raised a fist during their entrance. Both were also wearing armbands with the name of Breonna Taylor, an African-American woman who was killed in her home by police officers while she was sleeping.

- SmackDown kicked off with Sheamus demanding that Jeff take a drug test before he will face him and had a fake doctor issue the test behind a curtain while Sheamus tells the kids are home not to do drugs. The doctor then tests Jeff's urine while Sheamus tells him to issue an apology to his family or a positive message to everyone at home before Jeff throws the cup of urine in Sheamus' face and signs the contract before leaving and Sheamus becomes enraged as Jeff leaves. The two will meet at Backlash!

- On tonight's episode of SmackDown, Daniel Bryan and AJ Styles engage in an absolute classic to determine the brand new WWE Intercontinental Champion. AJ Styles would win the match to capture his first Intercontinental Championship. If you consider yourself a fan of bell-to-bell action, seek this one out!

- Bayley and Sasha Banks were supposed to celebrate their Championship victory tonight, but Alexa Bliss, Nikki Cross, and The IIconics rained on their parade. All three teams will meet for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship at WWE Backlash.

- The Miz and John Morrison will debut a new music video this Sunday on WWE’s The Bump! The pairing will then challenge Braun Strowman for the WWE Universal Championship at WWE Backlash.
