The vacant title has found a home.
Will Ospreay captured the IWGP United States Championship at NJPW Dominion, defeating SANADA in the co-main event.
Ospreay finished off SANADA with the Hidden Blade followed by the Storm Breaker. While Ospreay won the match, and is the new champion, there was no belt for Ospreay to celebrate with as the title is still in possession of Juice Robinson.
The title was declared vacant on Friday when NJPW stripped Juice Robinson of the belt after he sent in a video saying he wouldn't appear at the show and NJPW after, according to NJPW, he initially agreed to do the match. As a result of his actions, he's being stripped of the title. Robinson missed NJPW Best of the Super Juniors Finals with appendicitis.

Robinson won the vacant title at NJPW Capital Collision in a four-way bout that also featured Hiroshi Tanahashi, Jon Moxley, and Will Ospreay. SANADA was forced to relinquish the title in April due to a fractured orbital bone, which was caused by Ospreay.
This marks the first reign with the IWGP US Title for Ospreay.
