Welcome back, Monday Night Messiah.
In a Ladder Match that also featured Rey Mysterio, Kevin Owens, and Finn Balor, Seth Rollins became the top contender for the WWE Championship, currently held by Big E, on Monday, October 25.
The night kicked off with all four would-be contenders staking their claim for the gold and Seth Rollins, the only definitive heel in the match, was able to secure the contract.

Serendipitously, Seth Rollins stood atop a ladder to earn his opportunity. It was Big E who knocked him off of a ladder at WWE Money in the Bank in order to secure the Money in the Bank briefcase which would later secure E the WWE Championship.
At this time, no official date was confirmed for the title match.
