Although the NXT Championship was vacated by Karrion Kross, GM William Regal made a massive announcement regarding the title on the same night.
Kross had vacated the title at the start of tonight’s episode of NXT due to a shoulder injury that he suffered in his title win against Keith Lee at TakeOver XXX. This left Regal in a position to decide the fate of the belt and it will be contested in a match never done in WWE history.
Regal announced that Johnny Gargano, Tommaso Ciampa, Finn Balor and Adam Cole, all former champions, will compete in a 60-minute four-way Iron Man match on the September 1 episode of NXT to crown a new champion.
