What an eventful night for EVOLVE.
EVOLVE 114 was live on the 'World Wrestling Network' from Ybor City, Florida at 'The Orpheum'. On the show the Street Profits defeated Chris Dickinson and Jaka to become the new EVOLVE Tag Team Champions. On top of that, Fabian Aichner made a surprise appearance and challenged and defeated Shane Strickland for the EVOLVE Championship. In what was already an news-worthy show for EVOLVE, a new WWN Champion was crowned.
The former champion Joey Janela went down with an injury and will be out of action for the foreseeable future. In wake of Janela's injury, EVOLVE announced a Ladder match that took place tonight at EVOLVE 114 to determine a new WWN Champion. The competitors in the match were: Anthony Henry, AR Fox, Austin Theory, Harlem Bravado, JD Drake and Darby Allin who earned his way into the match by defeating Josh Briggs earlier in the night.
It was a competitive and brutal match between all six men but in the end it was JD Drake who stood atop of the Ladder and pulled down the WWN Championship.
