Nia Jax Says Her Character Is Just Herself Turned Up A Little

Nia Jax discusses her on screen character in WWE.

Since Nia Jax's WWE return last year, she has grown as a performer in front of fans, and is now the WWE Women's Champion after winning the Queen Of The Ring tournament in May of this year. Jax's character work has also developed, and is currently the top heel on SmackDown.

While speaking to Screen Rant Plus for a recent interview, Nia was asked how she balances her own personality with her characters, with Nia noting that there is no balancing act due to her character being herself turned up a little.

"It's not a balancing act. It's who Nia Jax is. It's a little turned up version of who I really am. I feel the audience can relate to somebody that they feel comfortable with. So I just try to be myself, turned up, and apparently it's been working. They seem to like it, but I don't try to balance anything because I don't feel as though I want to be anything somebody can't relate to."

Elsewhere in the same interview, Nia noted how the Queen Of The Ring tournament was more difficult to win than the WWE Women's Championship. You can read more about that here.

In a seperate interview, Nia would discuss possibly hitting a stinkface on Rhea Ripley. You can read more about that here.
