Carmelo Hayes expects a WWE United States Title shot, but Nick Aldis is preoccupied with his concern for AJ Styles.
Carmelo Hayes technically defeated AJ Styles on the October 4 episode of WWE SmackDown. Per LA Knight's speech to Hayes before the match, he said he would give him a championship opportunity if he defeated Styles, which is what happened when the match ended abruptly after AJ suffered an apparent ankle injury,
Carmelo has approached Nick Aldis, the WWE SmackDown GM, about receiving a future WWE United States Championship opportunity. Still, Nick was clear in saying that he felt that Carmelo did not earn a sincere victory. However, Aldis said that after he checked on AJ, he would make time to speak to Carmelo Hayes next week.
