Rocky Romero: WWE's Getting Bigger And Bigger, It Makes Sense For Other Promotions To Work Together

Rocky Romero wants to keep the eyes on the prize.

Working relationships are more prominent in wrestling than they've ever been before. On one side, WWE is actively working with promotions like TNA Wrestling and Pro Wrestling NOAH. On the other side of the coin, promotions like AEW, NJPW, CMLL, and STARDOM all work with each other on a regular basis as well. Even a promotion like Major League Wrestling has been heavily integrating performers from CMLL into their shows.

While speaking with Fightful for a recent interview, Romero talked about being able to bridge the gap between promotions, saying that he focuses on not sweating the little stuff or making big deals out of disagreements.

"No, for sure, for sure. I think that's one of the unique things that I bring in my skillset that maybe others don't have and plus I try to look at it as these relationships are important because in the end, it's a business and it's important to make money. It's important to have projection for each company and each wrestler that's involved in all this. So in the end, I think that that's what's important. If we keep the eye on the ball of what's actually important, then don't sweat the little stuff there's always going to be issues. There's always going to be problems. There's going to be disagreements and that's okay."

Romero went on to say that he wants to maintain the working relationships because WWE is only getting bigger and bigger as time goes on.

"But as long as we keep our eyes on the prize and see the bigger picture and another part of the big picture is WWE is a massive company and they're only getting bigger and bigger now with the merger. So for the rest of us who are outside of that WWE bubble it makes sense to work together and kind of have this union between these companies who that have been around for 50+ years, like New Japan or CMLL and AEW has just been around for five years, but has in five years done some tremendous, tremendous things in the world, you know? So I think it all makes sense. I feel like I do want to speak on this."

Elsewhere in the interview, Romero said that fans will be amazed by the card for AEW x NJPW Wrestle Dynasty. Check out his full comments on the matter by clicking here.
