The saga continues.
A week after WrestleMania 34 WWE superstars John Cena & Nikki Bella released a joint statement which noted that they were going to be ending their six-year long relationship. Over the following weeks John Cena and Nikki Bella both shared personal messages onto their social media pages regarding the split. The former 16-time WWE World Champion John Cena has appeared on talk shows and openly stated that he misses Nikki Bella.
The idea of the former couple having a family has been publicly positioned as being one of the reasons that they split; seeing as how Cena has minced no words in stating that he does not want children. The couple's relationship issues and their breakup will be highlighted on the upcoming season of the E! Network series 'Total Bellas' which begins its third season this upcoming Sunday.
Yesterday John Cena appeared on the 'Today Show' where he went over his relationship status with Nikki Bella and stated that he loves and wants to have a family with the former two-time WWE Divas Champion.
"I had my heart broken out of nowhere. For me, it was from out of nowhere. Anyone familiar with that knows it comes with a series of bad feelings. I've looked at myself everyday and tried to evaluate myself," said Cena. "I still love Nicole, I would still love to marry Nicole, I would still love to have a family with Nicole," he added.
Nikki Bella was asked for her response to her ex-fiance's comments while she was walking the red carpet at 'NBCUniversal's Upfront' presentation in New York City on Monday. Bella told 'Entertainment Tonight' that she is hopeful that one day they can get back together.
"John is such an amazing man. He really is the love of my life," Bella shared. "I truly hope one day that we can work it out and get back together. I think there is hope," she continued, "I just want us both to live the rest of our lives happy. Hopefully that's together, maybe it's not. Right now I'm just focusing on me," she added. "I think I kind of lost me and now I want to find [myself]."
