This is not the first time both promotions did a Giant Baba show as NJPW, AJPW, Pro Wrestling NOAH and more came together for All-Star Battle in 2019.
The night was headlined by Hiroshi Tanahashi teaming with Yoshitatsu to take on Kento Miyahara & Daisuke Sekimoto. That event was held to honor the 20th anniversary of Giant Baba's death. That show also featured SANADA, EVIL, Jake Lee, Mil Mascaras in action plus a retirement ceremony for Abdullah The Butcher.
