NJPW To Have Cheering Sections For Special Events In September

Fans will be allowed to cheer again at NJPW events.

During a press conference on Thursday morning, NJPW announced events for September 5 & 6 with half capacity at Korakuen Hall to allow for cheering sections. More details will be announced soon.

Cheering has been discouraged during the COVID 19 pandemic with fans being asked to clap instead of cheer.

From NJPW:

September 5 and 6 will see special events in Korakuen Hall with half capacity to allow for a cheering section and allow fans to finally use their voices. Rules and details are to be announced for these cards which will also feature separated sections for fans less comfortable with using their voices; stay tuned for more information.

NJPW’s next tour will be their G1 Climax tournament starting on July 16 and run through August 18.
