Hirooki Goto earned a shot at the IWGP World Heavyweight Title, winning the Ranbo during the Wrestle Kingdom 19 pre-show.
Goto last eliminated Great-O-Khan in the Ranbo, which consisted of 17 competitors.
Tomohiro Ishii and Alex Zayne were part of the final four. Zayne eliminated Ishii, but he was eliminated by Great-O-Khan shortly after.

The Ranbo had determined the competitors for the initial KOPW Title match to begin the year, but the KOPW Title was retired by Great-O-Khan at the end of 2024, leading to the Ranbo deciding the number one contender for the IWGP World Heavyweight Title.
