Bayley became the number one contender to the WWE Women's Championship on the January 10th episode of WWE SmackDown, winning a fatal four-way match against Naomi, Nia Jax, and Bianca Belair.
Candice LeRae got involved, grabbing the braid of Bianca ias she went for the KOD. As Belair tugged it away, she cracked Naomi with her braid. Jax then pulled Bianca out of the ring.
On the outside, Bianca and Jax spilled over the announce table. In the ring, Bayley hit the Roseplant on Naomi for the victory.

Tiffany Stratton is the reigning WWE Women's Champion. Bayley will get her title match on the January 17th episode of WWE SmackDown.
Stratton won the WWE Women's Championship on the January 3rd episode of WWE SmackDown, cashing in her Money in the Bank briefcase on Jax.
