Santos Escobar will compete at Halloween Havoc, but it won't be in a title defense.
WWE announced that Escobar, the current NXT Cruiserweight Champion, will face off against Jake Atlas in a non-title bout at Halloween Havoc, taking place on the October 28 episode of NXT.
After sending Santos Escobar a painful message, Jake Atlas will get a chance to tangle with the NXT Cruiserweight Champion one-on-one.
Atlas will face Escobar in a non-title match at NXT Halloween Havoc.
Atlas recently aligned himself with Isaiah “Swerve” Scott and Ashante “Thee” Adonis” in the fight against Escobar and Legado del Fantasma. Though Joaquin Wilde pinned Adonis in last week’s Six-Man Tag Team bout, Atlas planted Escobar with a massive cartwheel DDT off the announce table.
Will Atlas again get the better of the champion, or will Escobar make Atlas regret taking up arms against the powerful faction?
Although Escobar won't be defending his title at Halloween Havoc, two other champions will. NXT North American Champion Damian Priest will defend his belt against Johnny Gargano while NXT Women's Champion Io Shirai will defend her title against Candice LeRae. Both matches will have stipulations determined by the spin of a wheel.
In addition, Rhea Ripley will face off against Raquel Gonzalez while Cameron Grimes will wrestle Dexter Lumis in a Haunted house Of Terror match.
Fightful will have live coverage of NXT Halloween Havoc.
