NXT returns home to SYFY for the next two weeks with reruns the original episodes that will air the night before on the USA Network. This means that the Wednesday night TV ratings battle between NXT and AEW will still be in effect.
Cable listings show reruns of an XT airing on Wednesday, September 2 and Wednesday, September 9. These episodes will actually premiere the night before on the USA Network in special Tuesday night airings. These rebroadcast are occurring due to NXT moving to Tuesdays because of the USA Network hosting NHL broadcasts.
It will be a return for NXT to the cable network where the original version of the brand launched. NXT began 10 and 1/2 years ago on the then-SciFi network as a replacement for the floundering ECW brand and hosted a reality show style format that saw the debut of names like Daniel Bryan and Wade Barrett. Wade Barrett just returned to NXT as the color commentator for the brand.
