History was made on the February 12th, 2020 episode of AEW Dynamite when Nyla Rose defeated Riho for the AEW Women’s World Championship.
“The Native Beast” conquered a very gallant champion. Riho tried her hardest to overcome the sheer size and strength of Nyla Rose and before the bell could even ring was on the attack of her challenger.
Ultimately, the size and strength of Rose were far too great to overcome and not even multiple diving foot stomp attempts could save the championship for the Joshi star. Rose would hit a spear and a powerbomb to secure the victory and etch her name in history.

Nyla Rose also makes history tonight as the first transgender woman to win a world championship in a major wrestling promotion in the United States.
