Oba Femi could be in trouble at NXT Vengeance Day.
The NXT Champion made a statement in a big way on the January 28 episode of WWE NXT, appearing on The Grayson Waller Effect with Austin Theory and Grayson Waller. After exchanging various insults, Femi reminded both Waller and Theory that they didn't touch gold during their time in NXT.

Eventually, both Waller and Theory angered Femi enough to the point where he told one of them to step up and face him for the NXT Championship at NXT Vengeance Day. NXT GM Ava had an issue with this and came to remind Femi that he doesn't have the power to make matches.
Trick Williams came out next and helped Femi take out Waller and Theory. Femi wasn't done there, as he took his own chance and laid out Williams with a powerbomb.

Later on in the show, Ava informed Femi that he will defend the NXT Championship against Grayson Waller and Austin Theory in a triple threat match at NXT Vengeance Day.
