ODB On Potentially Working With WWE: The Door Is Always Open, I Just Never Knocked On It

ODB says that the door is always open for her to potentially work with WWE, but she hasn't knocked on it.

ODB is a former four-time TNA Knockouts Champion, and she also held the Knockouts Tag Team Championship with Eric Young. In recent years, she has focused on her food truck business, but she returned to IMPACT in 2021. She also wrestled for NWA in 2019, and she competed in the Casino Battle Royale at the inaugural AEW All Out event.

In an interview with Just Alyx, ODB was asked whether she'd be interested in working with WWE. She noted that the door is always open, but she never sought it out. The veteran stated that you never know what will happen in the world of wrestling, and she admitted that it would be cool to drive the ODB truck into the arena.

"The door is always open. I just never knocked on it. When I was working at TNA, my last contract ended in 2014. I stepped away and that’s when I didn’t want to wrestle. I just needed to take a break. And that’s when I started the barbecue business and traveled in my Airstream up and down the road. It was great. I mean, they’ve been in contact with me. But it never went any further than that. You never know. It would be pretty badass to drive the ODB truck right into the freaking arena," ODB said.

As someone who has been in the business for over 20 decades, ODB has carved out a remarkable legacy. When asked to describe what she wants fans to remember about her, she responded by emphasizing the way she stayed true to herself.

“Basically, I stayed true to myself. I didn’t change my look. I didn’t change the way I dress. I kept being me. And it worked. I didn’t have to refresh my character. I wore the same outfit for years. When I don’t fit in my outfit anymore, then I know it’s time to hang it up, haha.I want them to remember I was a great character. This is entertainment and I just want to make sure I entertain everyone. I’m not the best wrestler and I’ve never said that. But I have a pretty damn good character," she said.

The full interview will drop on Friday, but it is currently available with YouTube membership.

Taylor Wilde, another TNA veteran, recently confirmed that she's still under contract with IMPACT Wrestling, and she's ready to return. More information is available here.
