Paul Heyman: Roman Reigns vs. The Rock Is A Masturbatory Fantasy Until There's A Contract

Ever since Roman Reigns became The Tribal Chief upon returning to WWE during the pandemic in 2020, fans have been wondering when he will face The Rock.

Reigns and Rock have hinted at the bout and been asked about it in the media, but thus far, nothing has been made official.

Until the bout is official and pen is to paper, we're all just jerking off in our dreams.

“We can speculate all we want about Dwayne The Rock Johnson stepping into the ring with Roman Reigns,” Paul Heyman told Kevin Kellam of Sportskeeda. “It’s masturbatory fantasies until there’s a piece of paper in front of us with Dwayne Johnson’s signature on. Then I know it’s real. And until then it’s just fantasy. It’s a fantasy of Dwayne Johnson’s to come and get the rub from The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns. It’s a fantasy of Dwayne Johnson to feel the energy of 20, 30, 40, 50, 100 thousand people live, cheering on as The Tribal Chief smashes The Rock. It’s a fantasy of Dwayne Johnson to step into the ring with the greatest of all time, Roman Reigns… then, now, and forever. Not until he puts his name on a contract, it’s just his fantasy.”

Coming out of WWE WrestleMania Backlash, Reigns is working a reduced schedule and isn't currently advertised for WWE Hell in a Cell.

The Rock is currently in post-production on Black Adam and pre-production on Red One.
