Paul Wight is open to the idea of bringing Captain Insano to AEW.
Wight famously portrayed Captain Insano in Adam Sandler's film "The Waterboy." Insano was a professional wrestler who helped motivate Sandler's character by laughing at him for wanting to be his water boy.
Speaking to Miro on Miro's Twitch, Wight commented on whether Insano could come to AEW.
"Captain Insano might be coming around again. Tony Khan is really good friends with one of the writers or creators of Waterboy and the Captain Insano character. Tony is trying real hard to try and get the rights to that and do something with it. I told Tony, 'If you get Captain Insano, I will rock the ever-loving tits off of it.' I'll get the red boots and everything CAPTAIN INSANO SHOWS NO MERCY! It'd be a fun gig to break out Captain Insano every now and again," he said.
AEW filed to trademark "Captain Insano" for digital purposes on March 3.
Elsewhere during the interview, Wight revealed he's been doing voice-over work for the "Fast & Furious" cartoon. You can find his full comments by clicking here.
