Pentagon Jr. has undergone a name change.
The AEW website now lists Pentagon Jr. as Penta El Zero M. He was also referred to as such on commentary during Wednesday's Dynamite.
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, AEW used the Pentagon Jr. name due to their relationship with AAA, which owns the Pentagon Jr. name. Once AEW started merchandise for Pentagon and Fenix, they reportedly didn't want to use the AAA owned name.
Masked Republic recently announced a Legends Of Lucha Libre apparel line with Pentagon being listed as Penta Zero M.
Meltzer states it's a similar deal for Fenix, who has been referred to as Rey Fenix during his time in AEW. Fenix owns the Rey Fenix name while AAA owns the Fenix name.
Penta El Zero M and Rey Fenix are both scheduled to compete in the Casino Battle Royale on Saturday at AEW All Out.
Fightful will have live coverage of AEW All Out beginning at 7 p.m. ET on Saturday.
