Perry escapes from RVD.
The FTW Championship is still in the possession of Jack Perry, as he was able to defeat Rob Van Dam on the August 9 episode of AEW Dynamite. After being dominated for virtually the entire match, Perry hit Van Dam with a low blow and shoved him into a chair in the corner. Moments later, Perry quickly pinned RVD to retain the title.

After winning the bout, Perry quickly scurried out of the ring and up the ramp.
It is currently unknown if Van Dam will return to All Elite Wrestling in the future. Fightful will update fans when more information is made available.
Rob Van Dam first made his debut for All Elite Wrestling on the August 2 episode of Dynamite, as he turned up to confront Perry in support of Jerry Lynn.
