The winner of the 2024 Women's Universal Title has been unveiled.
CMLL hosted on Friday, October 18, 2024, a new episode of "Viernes Espectacular" from the mythical Arena Mexico in Mexico City, Distrito Federal, Mexico. The show was headlined by Zeuxis and Persephone going at it in the finals of the 2024 Women's CMLL Universal Title Tournament.
After a hard-hitting fight between the two former tag partners, The Princess of the Olympus ended up winning the match with a Springboard Frog Splash on Zeuxis to pick up the win. This was Persephone's first tournament win of her CMLL career, with her previously being a finalist in a tourney for the vacant CMLL Women's World Tag Titles (teaming with Zeuxis in a losing effort against Tessa Blanchard & Lluvia).
Both Persephone & Zeuxis will beable to get another shot a glory on the 10/25's CMLL Women's Grand Prix event as part of the signature match, which will also feature Willow Nightingale, Red Velvet, and more.
