Pete Dunne advances.
On the August 2nd episode of WWE Speed, Pete Dunne faced Julius Creed in the #1 Contender's Tournament. The winner of the tournament will earn a shot at WWE Speed Champion Andrade.
Julius Creed overpowered Dunne with some suplexes early on. Dunne rallied with some kicks, and he dropped Creed with a suplex of his own. Dunne continued to gain momentum, but Creed floored him with a powerbomb. They traded blows, and Dunne caught Creed with a knee to the face. Creed fired up with a superplex. Dunne ultimately snapped Creed’s fingers and hit the Bitter End for the win.
