The Rock is going to take fans on another ride.
At WWE Elimination Chamber, the road to WrestleMania heated up a big way, as John Cena turned heel and aligned with The Rock to destroy Cody Rhodes. Now, Cena will get a chance to make history at WrestleMania 41, as he'll challenge Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship.
With many other bumps and turns expected, Adrian Hernandez asked The Rock about the road to WrestleMania during the Elimination Chamber post-show press conference.
"The fans can expect the unpredictable. They can expect exciting storylines to unfold. I always want to encourage the fans, whether they are the hardcore fans or not hardcore fans who just enjoy the product, take your time. Take a breath. It’s all going to unfold. It’s okay. Not everyone is going to like everything we present, and that’s okay too. I’ve worked with Triple H for a very long time, so when we get together today, we think about, ‘Okay, we have the Final Boss. We have this character and this character and this event and this storyline. Let’s start with the thing that is coming up next,’ but then let’s push ourselves to eight months from now, six months from now, and let’s see where we go. What we often do, and that’s the fun part about Triple H and I getting together, is we’ll take an idea and it sounds good, ‘I think we’re going to do this tonight’ or ‘Let’s do this at the upcoming PLE.’ We’ll go, ‘Blow it up. Throw it away. Let’s figure out something better.’ Leading up to WrestleMania, I think fans can expect the unexpected. They can expect some unpredictable moments. They can expect some predictable moments because at the same time, there are certain things you have got to do to make sure we’re satisfying the audience on a weekly basis. There are certain moments that we all know, ‘We have to make this happen.’ We’ll make this happen today because they expect it and want it, but maybe next week we’ll deliver something different. I’m excited about WrestleMania. I was excited about last year’s WrestleMania. We were trying to figure out what it could be. We created the dual main event. I’m excited about every WrestleMania. This one is different and unique. I can’t wait."
