Phil Donahue Passes Away At Age 88

Phil Donahue has passed away at age 88.

Donahue, a legendary talk show host and media personality, passed away from illness on Sunday, August 18. His family notified the world in a statement on Monday, August 19.

In the wrestling world, Donahue is mainly known for bringing Vince McMahon, Murray Hodgson, Billy Graham, Barry Orton, Bruno Sammartino, Dave Meltzer, and others onto an episode of 'The Phil Donahue Show' to discuss sexual assault allegations against Pat Patterson.

Throughout his career, Donahue won 14 Emmy awards, mainly for for his work on 'The Phil Donahue Show'. Donahue also made appearances on 'The Today Show' and other NBC programs. Back in May of this year, Donahue was awarded with the Presidental Medal Of Freedom by President Joe Biden.
