Pretty Deadly Comment On Alliance With Austin Theory, Potential WWE Trios Titles

Pretty Deadly say they have a good thing going with Austin Theory.

Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince and Kit Wilson) have successfully made the leap to the main roster, as the former NXT Tag Team Champions have quickly climbed to the top of the title picture since they were selected by SmackDown in the 2023 WWE Draft. The duo has also joined forces with WWE United States Champion Austin Theory during their time on the blue brand; they defeated the Brawling Brutes (Sheamus, Ridge Holland, and Austin Theory) on the June 2 episode of WWE SmackDown.

Speaking with Steve Fall for WrestlingNewsCo, Prince and Wilson were asked about their alliance with Theory and whether they thought WWE would ever add trios titles to its lineup of championships. Prince noted that he thought the team of Pretty Deadly and Theory would be strong contenders for the titles if they ever came.

“If they come, I think we’d be some very strong contenders. It’s good to associate yourself with good people. He’s a champion, he’s been doing great. So naturally, we’re just trying to make some friends. We don’t like too many people. It’s a niche group. We have a small, very tight-knit group. Theory is one of them that we’ll welcome in," Prince said.

Wilson shared his thoughts as well, as he described how, even if they don't always appear on TV together, they're good friends with Theory, and they have a good thing going. He noted that Theory is a champion, and Pretty Deadly will win gold soon as well.

"He’s just a good guy. In WWE, sometimes, people like to shove it down your throats, Kirk, ‘Oh yeah, we’re friends. We gotta be on TV every single week.’ We don’t need to associate ourselves in front of the camera. Behind the scenes, we’re close. He’s a champion. We’re gonna be champions. Sometimes you’ll see us, sometimes you won’t, but it’s a good thing. We’ve got a good thing going," Wilson said.
