Zeuxis Wins Phase One of 2024 Women's Universal Title Eliminator On CMLL Viernes Espectacular

Phase One winner is set.

CMLL hosted on Friday, October 4, 2024, a new episode of "Viernes Espectacular" from the mythical Arena Mexico in Mexico City, Distrito Federal, Mexico. The show was headlined by Phase One of CMLL's annual tournament to crown the Women's Universal Champion. The first finalist has been revealed.

Phase One of the tourney features Nautica facing Princesa Sugehit, La Catalina, Zeuxis, Amapola, India Sioux, Maligna, Olympia, Dark Silueta, and Metalica in an elimination variant of CMLL's Torneo Cibernetico. After a grueling tourney, Zeuxis ended up standing tall in the tourney after hitting an Avalanche Spanish Fly on La Catalina for the pinfall win.

Zeuxis is currently the CMLL Women's World Champion, winning the title from Willow Nightingale on CMLL's 91st Anniversary. Catalina was in the tournament in 2023, a feat she would not be able to repeat this year; however, because she won the 2023 tournament, she was given a match against an International star, which is why she will be going one-on-one against former three-time AEW Women's World Champion and former NXT UK Women's Champion "Timeless" Toni Storm on the 10/11 edition of CMLL's Viernes Espectacular in a big-time bout.
