PROGRESS Wrestling announced that Cara Noir will defend his PROGRESS World Championship against ROH Champion Jonathan Gresham in a title vs. title bout at PROGRESS Chapter 130 on March 20.
Gresham confronted Noir after the latter was successful in his bout against Swerve The Realest at PROGRESS Chapter 129. Gresham was also victorious on the night, defending the ROH Title against Dean Allmark.

Gresham has made three defenses of the ROH Title in PROGRESS. Noir has held the PROGRESS World Title since January 2020 when he defeated Ilja Dragunov, Kyle Fletcher and Paul Robinson in a four-way elimination bout.
