Its time to travel to the dark side.
Ring Of Honor's resident menacing big man Punishment Martinez has been on a tear over the past year in the company. Martinez has challenged for the ROH World Championship and last night he had his eyes locked on the ROH World Television Championship.
Ring Of Honor is currently touring Texas and last night they presented an event entitled 'State Of The Art. Martinez had to go through two matches in order to win the ROH World Television Title and it started off with a 'Proving Ground Six-Man Mayhem' match. The champion in the match is at a disadvantage because if he is pinned, the individual who pinned the champion will instantly receive a title shot. The champion in this bout was Silas Young and the five other participants were Scorpio Sky, Jonathan Gresham, Cheeseburger, Adam "Hangman" Page and Punishment Martinez. Martinez emerged victorious as he pinned Silas Young in the 'Proving Ground' match. Martinez was then immediately granted his shot at Silas' ROH World Television Title and he defeated "Professional Wrestling's Last Real Man" to begin the age of anarchy as Punishment Martinez is now the new ROH World Television Champion.
