More details on QT Marshall's departure from AEW.
SEScoops reports that QT Marshall initially resigned from AEW in August and that he will be free to work elsewhere in January.
Marshall announced his departure from AEW on November 27.
Marshall's deal with the company was up on September 1, but Fightful Select reported that he signed a short-term extension that would take him to the end of 2023. According to SEScoops, Marshall reportedly signed the extension on the premise that he'd get more ring time on television.
Marshall won the AAA Latin American Title in August and defended the title on AEW and ROH TV.
On AEW TV, Marshall had been leading QTV, which was reportedly a Tony Khan idea inspired by TMZ and Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping. The group consisted of QT, Harley Cameron, John Morrison, Aaron Solo, & Powerhouse Hobbs.
Wrestlepurists and Fightful Select reported that CM Punk did not want Marshall involved with AEW Collision. SEScoops reports the two sides spoke and there was no heat between them.
The Nightmare Factory filed to trademark "Turnbuckle Championship Wrestling" in November.
