Quen Came Up With Private Party Velvet Rope Entrance, Wanted Something Similar To Goldberg’s Walk Out

Quen was the mastermind between Private Party's velvet rope entrance.

Over the years, Zay and Quen's presentation in AEW has changed on a number of occasions. Still, there's one thing that's remained fairly consistent with the team, that being their signature velvet rope entrance.

The entrance is a recognizable part of the duo's presentation, as it's been around since the early days of AEW. As it turns out, fans have Quen to thank for the entrance, as he was the brainchild behind the whole thing.

"Just looking at Goldberg’s entrance. ‘Goldberg came from back there.’ I wanted to be like Goldberg, we come off a party bus and go straight to the ring. That didn’t happen. So, I was like, ‘What if we had a rope like you get at the club.’ The Bucks were like, ‘Yeah, where can we get one from?’ We went upstairs to the concourse in Jacksonville, and we took that rope. We took it on the truck. I saw it again and was like, ‘Oh, they kept it.’" Quen said while appearing on Talk Is Jericho for a new interview.

Elsewhere in the interview, Zay and Quen said that they were told about winning the AEW World Tag Team Championships the week after WrestleDream. Check out their full comments by clicking here.
