Raquel Rodriguez On Triple H Being In Charge Of WWE Creative: It's Amazing, We're All Excited

Raquel Rodriguez is excited about the start of a new era in WWE.

The former NXT Women's Champion debuted on SmackDown in April, and she became a breakout star on the brand. Vince McMahon retired on July 22, and Triple H subsequently took over as the head of creative. Since then, fans have seen a number of changes to the WWE product, including longer match times for the women's division.

Speaking with TMZ Sports, Rodriguez was asked to describe how female superstars feel about the new regime. She stated that, as far as she knows, everyone is excited about the possibility of having more time for their matches and facing fresh opponents.

“It’s amazing, we’re all very excited. I know I can vouch for probably most of the women on the roster who are just excited about the possibilities of having more match time, new opponents, really mixing it up on the roster, and really getting the unexpected," Rodriguez said.

She also noted that having familiarity with Triple H, given her experience with him, makes it easier to pitch ideas to him.

“I think also coming up to NXT with him, there’s more of a comfortability with us of being able to approach him in that sense and bring up our ideas if we do have any," she said.

In the same interview, Theory expressed his excitement about having more creative freedom. He cited the prospect of seeing new "creations" as another positive outcome of Triple H taking charge.

“I would say for me, and I’m sure [Raquel] feels the same way, but both of us, coming up in NXT and Triple H was in charge there, along with Shawn Michaels. For us, it was a great experience, I would say. So this is just, I feel like there’s a lot more freedom now and there’s a lot more to explore. Especially with Triple H being in NXT, it’s NXT but now, there’s Raw, there’s SmackDown that he’s taking over. So just the expansion of how many different creations we can have now and just different places we can take it, it’s pretty cool," Theory said.

Theory recently commented on the regime change in another interview and described how there's no better group than Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, Nick Khan, and Bruce Prichard to lead the company into the future. His comments are available here.
