Renee Young Says There Have Been No Talks With AEW, Reveals Non-Compete Lasts For 'Quite A While'

Those expecting Renee Young to pop up in AEW this weekend at All Out will be disappointed.

After leaving WWE following SummerSlam, Young is currently unemployed, but she isn't quite a free agent just yet.

Appearing on the SI Sports Media Jimmy Traina, Renee was asked the question everyone is asked when they leave WWE. When will she appear in All Elite Wrestling?

"There has been no talks," she said. "Literally, the second anybody leaves WWE it's 'they're going to AEW.' Obviously, I knew it was going to come up. What I found interesting is, as much as I assumed that's what everyone was going to say, more people were like, 'She's going to work for FOX or ESPN.' A lot of people saw me leaving the wrestling world, which I was surprised by."

Renee went on to say that she doesn't know where AEW stands as far as interest in her. Renee's husband Jon Moxley not only works for AEW, but he is the reigning AEW World Champion.

When asked about working alongside Jon at some point, Renee said, "I do have a non-compete that is for quite a while. If anyone is waiting for me to show up in 90 days, they're going to be waiting a little longer than that. Everything they're doing there is great and there could be a ton of spots where I could step in and do something there. One of the things I did find difficult over the past year was not working with Jon. For us to be in different places, not even not working together, it was almost pretending he didn't exist. That's hard. I couldn't even tweet about him. What are we doing? At a certain point, it gets too nitpicky."

Though Renee won't be appearing at AEW All Out in any official capacity on Saturday, she is in Jacksonville with Jon to support him this week. You can find Moxley's comments on Renee leaving WWE by clicking here.
