Report: AEW Grand Slam 2023 Set For 9/20

AEW Grand Slam is reportedly set to return for the third year in a row.

Andrew Zarian of the Wrestling Observer and the Mat Men Podcast reports that AEW Grand Slam will be held on September 20. The event will be held in Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens, New York City, and it will double as a live episode of AEW Dynamite and a taping of AEW Rampage. AEW used the same for the first two Grand Slam specials.

Zarian appeared on Fightful Overbooked's In The Weeds on June 28 and broke the news there.

The September 20 date falls in line with the previous two events; AEW Grand Slam 2021 was held on September 22, and September 21 was the date for the 2022 event.

Grand Slam has proven to be a successful special for AEW in the past; Tony Khan announced that the 2022 show was the highest grossing TV event AEW had ever done up to that point.

Fightful will provide more information about AEW Grand Slam as it becomes available.
