Arn Anderson and WWE move on.
According to Ryan Satin at Pro Wrestling Sheet, WWE let Arn Anderson go on Thursday, Feb. 21. Anderson had been a road agent in WWE since 2001 following the company buying out WCW. Anderson retired from the ring in 1997 due to neck and back injuries.
Satin reports that it's unclear what led to Anderson being released by the company.
Anderson was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2012 as a member of the Four Horsemen. While he mainly worked backstage as an agent/producer, he has made appearances on WWE television over the years. He appeared in an August 2017 episode of SmackDown as part of a Fashion Files sketch alongside Tyler Breeze and Fandango.
WWE recently hired multiple producers including Jeff Jarrett, Shane Helms, Chris "Abyss" Parks, and Sonjay Dutt. You can view WWE's video on their new hires, including comments by the former wrestlers, here.
Fightful will provide more details on Arn's departure when they are known.
