Cody Rhodes is banged up heading into WWE Hell in a Cell.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reports Cody Rhodes suffered an injury while training this week. Meltzer notes that "the story going around is that Rhodes suffered a torn pec," but that wasn't confirmed at the time of the report.
John Pollock of POST Wrestling reports that Meltzer's story is "consistent with what we have heard at POST Wrestling."
Rhodes was pulled from Saturday's live event and replaced by Drew McIntyre, but still did a run in on the match.
During the WWE Hell in a Cell Kick-Off show, Kayla Braxton confirmed that Cody "suffered a partially torn right pectoral tendon" during his brawl with Seth Rollins on WWE Raw. Braxton continued by saying, "While weight training in preparation, the tendon tore completely off the bone. He is still scheduled to compete at WWE Hell in a Cell against Seth Rollins in a Hell in a Cell match.
