Dakota Kai will reportedly be sidelined for a bit.
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, Dakota Kai suffered a torn ACL on the May 12 episode of WWE SmackDown. She will reportedly undergo surgery on Tuesday, May 23.
The injury during occurred in her tag team bout where she teamed with Bayley against Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez. Morgan was also injured in the bout.
Fightful Select reported that Kai suffered an injury during the match. WWE noted the injury on the May 19 episode of WWE SmackDown.
WWE and Kai have not confirmed the injury. It is unknown how long she will be sidelined.
The WWE Women's Tag Team Titles were vacated as a result of Liv Morgan's injury. New champions will be crowned on the May 29 episode of WWE Raw as Rodriguez will find a new partner to take on Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler, Bayley & IYO SKY, and Chelsea Green & Sonya Deville.
