Report: Jeff Jarrett Enters WWE Sponsored Rehab

Jeff Jarrett has entered rehab.

Pro Wrestling Sheet originally reported this morning that Jeff Jarrett had decided to enter rehab. They say it seems to be WWE sponsored rehab. On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer also reported it was WWE-sponsored rehab, and it was a situation where his wife and friends suggested he seek out help. Meltzer noted that anyone who has worked with WWE in the past are able to enter rehab on WWE's dime.

This comes following two big stories breaking over the last several days. One was a story where a Canadian promoter accused him of being drunk and passing out in the locker room backstage during the show. After claiming he had problems entering the country, he told the promoter that he would sort things out the next day, only to never return for the second show he was booked for.

On Monday, Impact Wrestling officially fired Jeff Jarrett. This comes after he was indefinitely suspended from the promotion following a number of backstage fights and arguments. Jarrett had come on board last year as a major part of the wrestling aspect of the promotion, brining people in and developing relationships with other promotions. The promotion was also rebranded as Global Force Wrestling, including bringing in new titles, but since Jarrett owns the rights to the name the promotion is now reverting back to being Impact Wrestling once again.
