Report: Kairi Sane Cleared To Return, Listed For Upcoming WWE Raw Tapings

Kairi Sane is set to return to WWE very soon.

The former WWE Women's Tag Team champion has been off television for several weeks due to an injury, but according to a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Sane is cleared and scheduled to appear on Raw. She is currently listed to be on the tapings for Raw taking place on July 3.

In addition, the report notes how Sane is going to be returning to Japan to be with her husband. Fightful Select previously reported that, as of May, there were plans for her to return to Japan and serve as an ambassador for WWE in Japan.

Sane has not wrestled since the June 1 episode of Raw, where she lost to Nia Jax. It was in that same match in which Sane sustained a cut to the head. The Wrestling Observer reported that the decision at the time was to not harp on the injury on television nor talk about it at all publicly which is why WWE never played it up and Sane's name wasn't brought up.

The idea in play before Sane's injury was to do a career-ending injury angle with her later when it was time for her to leave, which was to set up current Raw Women's Champion Asuka against whoever injured Sane at SummerSlam in a title match.
