Report: Lucha Bros Signed New AEW Contracts In August

The Lucha Bros aren't going anywhere.

Bill Pritchard of WrestleZone reports Penta El Zero M and Rey Fenix signed new contracts with All Elite Wrestling earlier this year, keeping them in AEW into 2021. Their contracts reportedly expired on August 31, but that they signed new deals on that day.

The report notes that it was never a situation where The Lucha Bros were in danger of leaving AEW. The report also states that they were "never not under contract."

The Lucha Bros have been with AEW since its first event Double or Nothing 2019 when they took on The Young Bucks in a ladder match. They have also continued to work for Lucha Libre AAA. They successfully defended the AAA Tag Team Championships at TripleMania XXVIII on December 12.

Penta is currently dealing with a calf injury and has been used in a limited capacity on AEW television. Fenix is scheduled to challenge Kenny Omega for the AEW World Title on December 30 at AEW New Year's Smash Night One.
